Team PKUI has officially completed our home for the Solar Decathlon China 2013 competition! Etho is finally completely outfitted in its bamboo and zinc cladding, zinc roofing and a custom perforated zinc image wall that lights up at night with LED strip lights. The final push for the house has resulted in a more exciting final product than any of us even imagined. I will continue uploading pictures of the house when I get a chance to take some higher quality images including the interior and more exterior shots. The team is finally well rested and ready to take on competition week full of dinners, movie nights, public and private tours as well as taking some time to enjoy the city of Datong! Please follow our team this week on our public facebook group: facebook.com/etho.pkui and feel free to ask any questions you may have! - Z

University of Illinois's School of Architecture Convocation Ceremony took place this past Sunday at 10am where I officially completed six years towards my masters degree. Congrats to all the other graduates and good luck in your futures! This summer will be dedicated to the Solar Decathlon project in China and hopefully will be spending most of my summer abroad! After the competition concludes, I will hopefully return to a brand new full-time job (still working on that part). My biggest project currently eating up all my time the Solar Decathlon China 2013 project. It is a great opportunity to collaborate with students, product manufacturers and reps, builders, and more abroad! Check out the team's website and follow us on twitter and facebook to keep up to date on our progress Its a very exciting time with sponsorships being finalized and everything starting to come together! like us on facebook \ follow us on twitter \ check out our website \ contact us via email at [email protected]! We're finally at that stage where the design aspect is getting very detail oriented and we are able to select finish products and materials. While sometimes incredibly stressful, its a very exciting time and the team is working hard to realize our vision. Keep up the hard work! The content is slowly coming together. Hopefully within the next couple weeks all of my projects can be up-to-date! Keep checking for more information and new project content.
So I'm new to website development and design, so weebly was a great way to ease into the process. This is a website dedicated to the publishing and promoting of my design work while at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions! I'd love to hear from you!
